ParkPlay Wigton starts 9.30 am – Saturday 9th July – and it’s FREE

Join us this and every Saturday at 9.30am in Wigton Park to make friends, have fun and move more.

Ben Hale is our ParkPlay organiser and these sessions are FREE to join for kids, adults, everyone – no matter what your age or ability.

Everybody who comes to ParkPlay should register ahead of their first session.

Attendees will then be able to quickly sign in on arrival, and get playing straight away.

Adults can register on behalf of children. Please note: under 14s should always be accompanied.

This scheme has been sponsored by Wigton Town Council, Active Cumbria, Sport England and the National Lottery.

Beacon Lighting Ceremony

Residents of Wigton are invited to the lighting of our newly renovated town beacon at Barton Laws,

Thursday 2nd June. You are welcome to join us from 9pm onwards.

This is part of a nationwide ceremony of 2800 beacons lit in honour of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Piper, Roland Lawson, will play ‘Diu Regnare’ at 9.35pm

Bugler, Mr Barthelemes, will play ‘Majesty’ at 9.40pm

Beacon will be lit at 9.45pm
