Grant Applications

Wigton Town Council like to support local ventures from sporting clubs to charities. If you would like to ask for a grant or donation from the council, please complete the following application:

The finance committee meet in February, July and October each year to review grant and donation applications.

Applications can be submitted both electronically and by post and should be sent by the 20th day of the month before the meeting to ensure we have enough time to review and distribute your application.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 (SECTION 87(2))

THE LOCAL ELECTIONS (PARISHES AND COMMUNITIES) (AMENDMENT) RULES 1986 (RULE 8 (1))

1. There is a vacancy on the above-mentioned Council following the resignations of Councillors Heather Robbins and Patricia Newton

2. A by-election to fill the vacancy must be held if, within 14 working days* from the date of the publication of this Notice, ten electors for the Parish (or Parish Ward) give notice, in writing requesting such an election to the Returning Officer.
