Wreath laying ceremony

A wreath was laid at Wigton Memorial Garden in commmoration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Mayor Christopher Scott, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Sandra Hodson this morning.

Reverend Philip Jackson said a prayer before the ceremony.

 

Solway Youth Church Summer Camp

Mayor Christopher Scott and Deputy Mayor Sandra Hodson dropped in to visit Solway Youth Church’s camp in Abbeytown on a beautiful evening following a kind invitation.

Mayor’s Civic Service

Sunday 17th July marked Wigton Mayor Chris Scott’s civic service at Wigton Methodist Church.

Notable invitees included High Sheriff of Cumbria, Alan McViety, and Mayors/Deputy Mayors of Allerdale, Carlisle, Cockermouth, Keswick, Maryport, Whitehaven and Workington.

Deputy Mayor Sandra Hodson joined Councillors Mike Armstrong, Mary Clark, John Crouch, David Ferriby, Mary Huntingdon, Elaine Lynch and Heather Robbins to support Mayor Scott on his big day.

Ben Hale is our ParkPlay organiser and these sessions are FREE to join for kids, adults, everyone – no matter what your age or ability.

Adults can register on behalf of children. Please note: under 14s should always be accompanied.
